Tasting Note

‘Marie Christine’ has the honour of being the flagship Cru from Chateau de l’Aumerade and is one of only a handful of Cru Classé châteaux in the Côtes de Provence. It’s a blend of 1/3 Grenache, 1/3 Cinsault and 1/3 Syrah from grapes specifically cultivated for the production of Rose. Marie Christine is the the flagship wine for the Maison.

We were the first importer to offer this Rose (and other cuvees from the Domaine) to the Australian market exclusive in store. Its is now imported by our friends Francaboutwine and is listed with many of Australia’s great dining venues. A testament to its quality and appeal.

A lovely pale powder pink hue, with refreshing aromas of grapefruit leading to succulent peach and apricot on the palate. Fruit forward and full, with a hint of spice, this elegant rosé has a refreshing acidity and a long finish.

Wine & Cheese Pairing

For cheese pairings, you may want to try fresh and tangy cheeses such as goat cheese or feta. These cheeses have a bright, acidic flavor that complements the crispness of the wine and brings out its fruity and floral notes.

Another great cheese pairing option is a nutty and buttery cheese such as Gruyere, Comte, or Emmental. These types of cheese have a rich flavor profile that can balance the wine’s acidity and enhance its aromas.
