Type: Rosé Region: Gundagai, New South Wales
Pairs well with: Fresh cheese, Semi-hard cheese
Tasting Note
The Gundagai Rosé is a wonderful example of a year-round, dry and crisp rosé. Pale salmon pink in colour, bright acidity and flavours of raspberry, huicy strawberry and watermelon. A lovely silky texture with a slight, zesty touch. Great finish. Pair wonderfully next to a Kingfish ceviche.
Wine & Cheese Pairing
For cheese pairings, you may want to try fresh and tangy cheeses such as feta, goat cheese, or ricotta. These cheeses have a bright, acidic flavor that complements the crispness of the wine and brings out its fruity and floral notes.
Another great cheese pairing option is a nutty and buttery cheese such as Gruyere, Comte, or Emmental. These types of cheese have a rich flavor profile that can balance the wine’s acidity and enhance its aromas.
