Type: Pinot Noir Region: Yarra Valley, Victoria
Pairs well with: Soft cheese, Fresh cheese
Tasting Note
Crafted with hand-picked and hand-sorted estate berries from low-yielding vines that grow in the sun-dappled shadow of the Warramate Hills, Medhurst’s expression of one of the Valley’s signatures marries buckets of juicy black cherry with effusive violet blossoms and lively, bright sunbursts of cranberry. It is an artfully poised cool-climate Pinot Noir reminiscent of the architecturally designed winery from whence it came, more than deserving of it’s 95 points Halliday Wine Companion rating.
Wine & Cheese Pairing
For cheese pairings, you may want to try soft and creamy cheeses such as Brie or Camembert. These types of cheeses have a buttery texture and a mild flavor that doesn’t overpower the wine’s delicate notes.
Another great option is nutty and tangy cheese such as goat cheese or feta. These types of cheeses have a refreshing and zesty flavor that pairs well with the wine’s subtle fruit notes.
